MY JOURNEY: FROM 0 TO 6-FIGURE NAIL ARTIST & EDUCATOR
Hi, I’m Angelina, founder of Nail Artistry Academy. My 15-year journey began at age 15 in Ukraine, where I first fell in love with gel overlays and the Russian E-file manicure. In 2010, I moved to Australia. The local industry felt behind at the time, and those first few years were a rollercoaster—some weeks I barely made $50! But I never gave up, focusing on building a loyal clientele who truly valued my skill.
I never stopped learning, taking every course available to keep pace with global trends. When COVID forced us into lockdown, I leaned into upskilling, mastering advanced techniques and Instagram strategy. Once things opened back up, my business exploded, moving from 5 clients a day to a fully booked 12.
I eventually reached a turning point: stay comfortable or scale up? With my husband’s support, we launched a luxury salon in the heart of Melbourne. Despite the challenges of launching during a pandemic while pregnant, we pushed through. Today, the salon is thriving with over 5 staff members. We even expanded into retail, launching an online store to bring high-quality, hard-to-find supplies from Europe to Australian artists.
Building a six-figure salon was just the beginning. I felt a calling to mentor others, helping artists transition from "just doing nails" to running successful empires. I believe a thriving business requires more than just talent; it requires mastery of customer care and solid business strategy.
Today, my mission is to share my 15 years of experience to help you fast-track your growth. My training programs—covering E-file, pedicures, and masterclasses—are consistently booked out because I believe that knowledge is power. I am a firm believer in lifelong learning, ensuring my students are always ahead of the curve.
