Hey! I’m Angelina and welcome to Nail Artistry Academy. My Journey in the nail industry began over 15 years ago when I was only 15 years old in my beautiful homeland of Ukraine when my mom signed me up for a summer nail course. Little did she know, that was the start of my love affair with all things nails! I dove headfirst into techniques like gel overlays and the fabulous Russian E-file manicure.

Fast forward to 2010, I moved to Australia and was taken aback by how behind the nail industry felt. Clients weren’t keen on healthy products or spending more than $30 on their nails. Let me tell you, the first few years were a rollercoaster—some weeks I barely made $50! But I wasn’t about to give up. Slowly but surely, I built a loyal clientele who fell inlove with my work and spread the word about my skills.

I never stopped learning, either. I took every online course I could find from around the world to keep

up with the fast-paced industry. Just as things started to pick up and I was seeing 5-6 clients a day, bam—COVID hit! Instead of letting it get me down, I used that time to upskill. I jumped into advanced nail courses, perfected my nail art, and even learned how to make my Instagram thrive.

When lockdown ended, my business took off—going from 5 clients a day to a full schedule of 12! After a whirlwind year of non-stop work, I hit a wall and knew I had to make a choice: keep grinding or open my own salon. With my husband cheering me on, we decided to go for it and launched a luxury salon in the heart of Melbourne. Just as we signed the lease, I found out I was pregnant—surprise! And then another lockdown hit.

We opened the salon, but it wasn’t smooth sailing at first. I had to jump back in right after giving birth to get things on track! Now, nearly three years later, the salon is thriving and we have grown to a team of over 5 staff. We even recognized a demand for high-quality nail supplies from Europe and launched our own online store bringing must have high quality products from around the world to the hands of Australian artists.

After building a successful six-figure salon, I knew it was time to elevate my journey even further. I felt a deep passion to share my knowledge with fellow artists, helping them provide not just high-quality results but an exceptional service that keeps clients coming back for more. I believe that a thriving business isn’t just about delivering great service; it’s also about mastering customer care and having a solid business setup. Now, my mission is to share my 15 years of industry experience to help other artists fast-track their

growth into successful nail empires. I’m a firm believer in lifelong learning and regularly invest in industry education and mentoring. This ensures I can offer my clients the best possible experience and equip my students with the tools they need to succeed.

Knowledge is power, and I’m excited to bring a fresh perspective to artists eager for growth and education in the nail industry.

My first course—a 3-day E-file Manicure and Gel Overlay class—has been a hit! We’ve since added pedicure training, one-on-one sessions, Refresher trainings and a Nail Art Masterclass that are consistently booked out, all year round.

What keeps me going? My passion for creating gorgeous, healthy nails while educating my clients. There’s nothing better than seeing happy faces and beautiful nails. I love the excitement of new techniques and products, and I’m especially obsessed with that perfect deep French finish.
